Specifications
Proactive Photocatalytic System is the result of an innovative technology based on the science of nanocomponents, developed to optimize photocatalytic processes and deliver products that are more efficient, more stable, and capable of achieving superior performance compared to conventional technologies of previous generations.
Proactive Photocatalytic System is a registered trademark of Global Engineering.
Characteristics
The PHOTOCATALYTIC properties of the formulation enable the oxidation of pollutants and their subsequent transformation into harmless residual substances.
Uses

2008 – Residential Buildings, Capri
For the painting of residential developments, the product FOTOSILOX was selected for the exterior surfaces and FOTODECOR for the interior surfaces.
Method of Application
Preparation and substrate requirements
The substrates to be treated must be dry, sound, and either mineral-based or previously coated with old organic paints. Surfaces must be free from salt efflorescence, flaking, and detachment.
Product application
Two coats of FotoSilox must be applied with a brush or roller over one coat of FotoSilox PRIMER.
Environmental conditions and post-application behaviour
Note: It is recommended to apply FotoSilox under favourable weather conditions, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight or strong wind, which may excessively accelerate drying and compromise both the appearance and the photocatalytic performance.
The paint film normally requires 8–10 days to dry completely; rainfall may cause the appearance of unsightly translucent and sticky patches. These patches do not affect the protective properties of the product and disappear with washing or subsequent rainfall.
