Specifications

Liquid photocatalytic solution based on titanium dioxide with PPS® (Proactive Photocatalytic System) for the treatment of surfaces exposed to air or immersed in water. It is specifically designed to treat air or water through the photocatalytic process.

Proactive Photocatalytic System

Proactive Photocatalytic System is the result of an innovative technology based on the science of nanocomponents, developed to optimize photocatalytic processes and deliver products that are more efficient, more stable, and capable of achieving superior performance compared to conventional technologies of previous generations.
Proactive Photocatalytic System is a registered trademark of Global Engineering.

Characteristics

  • Self-cleaning effect on pollutants through the decomposition of microorganisms that accumulate on surfaces.
  • High vapour permeability.
  • Excellent adhesion to materials thanks to its non-film-forming nature.
  • Antibacterial and anti-mould action through photocatalytic oxidation-reduction processes.

Applications

  • Suitable for all mineral materials.
  • External surfaces of historic buildings and modern residential structures.
  • Buildings in urban areas exposed to high levels of pollution.
  • Road surfaces, parking areas, squares, cycle paths and sidewalks.

Method of Application

1
Preparation and Coverage

1 litre of product is recommended for a surface area of approximately 15 m² when applied with a spray gun according to standard methods.
In difficult areas such as corners or delicate zones, take care not to spray excessive product in the same spot.
Do not add any additives to the product in order not to alter the balance of its components.
Do not apply on glossy surfaces as they may become opaque.
Before spraying the product, it is recommended to wash surfaces that are not already clean.
Observe the recommended application temperature (from 5°C to 35°C).

2
Application instructions and precautions

During application, ensure adequate ventilation of the working environment, as chemical vapours may develop.
After application, the surfaces may appear translucent.
It is recommended to wash the spraying equipment after use to prevent encrustations.
A single coat may be sufficient if evenly distributed at a rate of approximately 60–70 g/m².
The solution must be applied with a spray gun in the quantities indicated in the technical specifications.

Storage and Handling

Standard fire-prevention measures should be adopted where the product is stored.

  • Store in tightly sealed containers.
  • Keep containers away from direct sunlight in a dry place.
  • The solution contains water. Avoid drying and freezing. Do not use the product if it has dried or frozen.
  • Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children.
