Ecospolvero

Specifications

Premixed photocatalytic hardening powder based on natural grey cement, inert silica granules, iron oxides, quartz and special additives prepared according to a dedicated formulation. It contains titanium dioxide (TiO₂) with PPS® (Proactive Photocatalytic System) technology, ultrafine inert substances and specially prepared additives that comply with the specifications of the Ministerial Decree (Ministry of the Environment) of 01.04.2004.

Proactive Photocatalytic System

Proactive Photocatalytic System is the result of an innovative technology based on the science of nanocomponents, developed to optimize photocatalytic processes and deliver products that are more efficient, more stable, and capable of achieving superior performance compared to conventional technologies of previous generations.
Proactive Photocatalytic System is a registered trademark of Global Engineering.

Characteristics

  • Reduces surface temperatures thanks to its reflective effect.
  • Resistant to de-icing salts.
  • High skid-resistance coefficient.
  • Antibacterial and anti-mould action through photocatalytic oxidation-reduction processes.

Uses

  • New flooring in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Schools, hospitals.
  • Parking areas, garages, basements, balconies and covered areas.
  • Squares, terraces, cycle paths and sidewalks.
  • Warehouses and areas with frequent vehicle traffic.

Method of Application

Schema di applicazione di Ecospolvero su pavimentazione in calcestruzzo
1
Surface preparation

ECOSPOLVERO should be applied as a dry shake hardener on fresh concrete in two coats. Approximately two thirds of the total quantity should be distributed during the first application.

2
Second application

As soon as the first layer of powder has absorbed moisture from the water–cement mixture, proceed with the second application, spreading the material in perpendicular passes to the first. The remaining third of the product is then applied, and the herringbone distribution continues until the desired finish is achieved.

3
Curing

It is recommended to keep the surface thoroughly moist for about one week, until complete hardening, before carrying out any cutting operations. Alternatively, an anti-evaporation curing compound may be used to retain moisture in the concrete during the initial curing phase. This ensures excellent durability and minimizes the risk of cracking.
